Treatment cost
There are different ways in which infertility is treated. Each of the intervention or treatment cost is calculated differently and separately and is also affected by factors pertaining to the couple.
Given below is an approximate range of the initial workup cost, IUI treatment cost & IVF treatment cost:
Initial Workup
Starts with Rs. 4,000-20,000/- (approx)
The costs associated with Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) typically include semen preparation, semen insemination, disposable items for IUI, andrologist fees, andrology lab charges, and the doctor's fee. These charges can vary based on factors such as whether the patient is ovulating, whether the eggs are maturing properly, and the overall health of the woman undergoing the procedure.
For initial workup, the costs generally range from Rs 4,500 to Rs 20,000 for healthy couples. However, couples with genetic issues, a history of miscarriages, or other known conditions may face higher costs, which can rise up to Rs 35,000.
IUI
Starts with Rs. 10,000/- per cycle (approx)
It is a low cost and effective therapy. IHR offers a package that includes the egg growth (Follicular Study), Semen processing, IUI disposables such as media & cannula, and insemination by the doctor in the uterine cavity.
Patients have to purchase all the medications separately, used during the cycles. The total cost of IUI including medications is usually less than Rs. 10,000/- per cycle. But in case injectable hormones have to be used (e.g. in Poor responders or PCOS cases), then the cost may increase.
IVF
Starts with Rs. 50,000/-
The cost of IVF procedure itself is Rs. 50,000/- which includes:
- Consulting doctor’s fees (During IVF cycle- starts D1/D2, ends on day of ET)
- USG scans for follicular monitoring (During IVF cycle)
- Injection administration charges.
- OT charges for ovum pick up (OPU)

Note:
The cost of medicines used for ovarian stimulation may vary from Rs. 30,000 to 1, 00,000/-. This depends on age, obesity, AMH levels, previous treatment response, and ultrasound findings etc.
