For Mrs. Rashmi Goenka, helping people overcome health challenges has always been more than a profession—it is a lifelong passion. When she discovered the world of embryology, she knew she had found her true purpose: to bring the joy of parenthood to those who dream of it.
She completed her M.Sc. in Clinical Embryology from the University of Leeds, U.K., graduating with distinction. Her thesis, “Sperm Selection for ICSI: Conventional Method or Hyaluronic Acid Binding Method,” reflects her keen scientific curiosity and commitment to advancing reproductive science.
Since 2004, Mrs. Goenka has been associated with the Institute of Human Reproduction (IHR), Guwahati, where she has grown from Junior Embryologist to Director and Senior Embryologist. Over the years, she has successfully performed more than 10,000 IVF/ICSI cycles, skillfully handling even the most advanced procedures such as embryo biopsy at all developmental stages.
A believer in continuous learning and knowledge sharing, she regularly conducts training workshops on IUI and embryology, guiding young professionals in the field. She has also taken part in hands-on training programs with Sydney IVF, Australia, and the International Society of Andrology, and attended numerous international conferences on embryology and assisted reproduction.
